Emmerdale legend Jeff Hordley has teased some big surprises for the soap’s big 50th anniversary celebrations.
Later this year, the ITV soap will celebrate the major milestone and lots of big plans are being mooted. Fans of Emmerdale are speculating whether it might have something to do with evil Meena Jutla finally getting her comeuppance.
Elsewhere, Jeff Hordley, 51, is hoping his character soap bad boy Cain Dingle will be involved in the fun.

The star has opened up a little about what we can expect.
“I’m looking forward to some good stories for the whole Emmerdale company for our 50th anniversary,” Jeff told Inside Soap.

“The live 40th anniversary episode was a great challenge for us and the feeling we got from making that hour-long broadcast work was great.
“Like the underwater stuff I filmed a few years ago – I got a massive sense of achievement. So, watch this space.”
Jeff made his debut as Cain way back in the year 2000 and has become a firm favourite with Emmerdale viewers down the years.

“A quality I’d like to have more like him? Do you know what I would like?
“Sometimes in England we are all too polite and after the moment you’re thinking ‘I wish I’d said that’ that’s the bit of Cain I’d like in my life because he just says what he sees and holds no prisoners.”
