Don Hutchison named Leeds United attacker Raphinha in his Team of the Week after a thrilling display against Norwich.
The BT Sport pundit appeared on Premier League Productions’ Fanzone and named the Brazilian in his top eleven.
He then received calls from Arsenal and Chelsea fans who tried to convince him to take Bukayo Saka or Kai Havertz instead of Raphinha, but that did not change his mind.
He said, “Saka is one player that can get me to reconsider, but I’m sticking with Raphinha. Havertz was good that’s for sure, but Raphinha was amazing.”
Raphinha was terrific over the weekend against Norwich and has played a key role in getting Leeds that much closer to safety.
This was a relegation six-pointer that was as good as a cup final for the Whites.
After two straight losses under Jesse Marsch, not winning against the worst team in the league was definitely not an option.
It looked like Leeds were heading for another disappointing result when Norwich equalised but it wasn’t to be for the visitors.
Raphinha squared the ball in to Joe Gelhardt’s stride who calmly slotted the ball home and sent Elland Road into raptures.
Performances like these are why he’s rated so highly among the Leeds faithful and hopefully, they get to see him for at least another season.
