Marcelo Bielsa believes that when Kalvin Phillips does leave Leeds United he won’t tarnish his reputation with the fans.
This suggests that the Argentine doesn’t believe that Phillips would leave the Whites for a move to Manchester United after the Red Devils were linked earlier this week [Daily Star].
This is a very subtle message from the Leeds boss but we are sure fans will be delighted to hear what he had to say [Phil Hay].
He said: “One day he will stop playing for Leeds and the way he does it will convert him to an idol forever. I have a feeling. It’s intuition. I’m sure he would only leave if he sees the link to the place he was born remains intact. He will know how to do this.”
Phillips not joining Manchester United message.
This is a subtle message from Bielsa but we believe that he is pretty much telling the 25-year-old to not move to Old Trafford.

The rumours linking Phillips with a move away from Elland Road are going to happen because he is an excellent player.
Bielsa even admitted that he will leave one day, but hopefully, that day is a long way away yet.

Certainly, given the way football is going now, it would be fantastic to see Phillips commit himself to Leeds for at least a few more years, so he can become a club legend.
