Leeds United player ratings as Rodrigo and Brenden Aaronson deliver Wolves win

Leeds United (4-2-3-1)

1 Illan Meslier

Must have been disappointed to concede to a bouncing ball inside six minutes. Good stops either side of half-time to keep Leeds in it. 6

25 Rasmus Kristensen

Caught out of position and then remarkably outmuscled for the build-up to the opening goal of the game. Big tackle in the second half to deny Rayan Ait-Nouri a clear look at goal inside the box. Steady throughout. 6

5 Robin Koch

Nothing hugely stood out good or bad from the German. One of those arguably guilty of ball-watching for the opening goal. 6

14 Diego Llorente

Much like Koch, not too badly exposed or commanding in equal measure. Another of those who may have done more to stop the first goal. 6

21 Pascal Struijk

Has to be held accountable for leaving Hwang Hee-Chan to nod the cross down for Daniel Podence to open the scoring. Got caught on the turn a few times down his flank. 5

12 Tyler Adams

Started a little quieter than his midfield partner, but grew into the game and his tackling in the middle of the park was decent. 6

8 Marc Roca

Began well with his passing and tackling around the pitch, but faded through the back end of the first half and into the second period. Looked like he was running through treacle at times. 6

7 Brenden Aaronson

Stood out as the most effective Leeds player in attack. His pest-like persistence is what pinched the ball back in the Wolves box to ultimately serve up Rodrigo the equaliser. Faded like the whole side at the start of the second half, but came back into it with a tap-in later on. Can see how he suits Jesse Marsch’s style so well. 8

19 Rodrigo

Took advantage of some shoddy goalkeeping to force the equaliser in. At moments looked brilliant, but in others lacked the judgement on his passes to find team-mates. Faded badly at the start of the second period. 6

11 Jack Harrison

Didn’t see the best of him until deep into the back end of the second half when he produced a superb cross for Patrick Bamford to attack and force a save. Passing was off at times and didn’t really trouble Jonny. 6

9 Patrick Bamford

Came so much more into the game after the break as Wolves began to allow him more space. Would have been gutted to produce a blank, but chances and link-up play was there. 7

Substitutes

13 Kristoffer Klaesson

10 Crysencio Summerville (on for Aaronson 84min)

A late switch as the attack tired. N/A

A late switch as the attack tired. N/A

Brought some renewed vigour to those 50-50 battles in the middle of the pitch. 6

Deserves huge credit for his slide-rule ball for Bamford before the cross into Aaronson’s path. 7
