Paul Merson has backed Leeds United to end their losing streak in the Premier League against Norwich on Sunday.
The Sky Sports pundit has predicted that it will finish 1-1 at Elland Road, a result that helps nobody in the end.
Leeds have been in dreadful form losing their last six, with things desperately needing to change quickly.
Writing in his Sportskeeda column, Merson insisted that there are big questions whether either can handle the pressure.
“This is a must-win cup final for Leeds,” he said. “They have to win.
“I don’t know how many more chances we’re going to give Norwich, but they could cause some problems. You don’t know which Norwich will turn up, and you don’t know which Leeds will turn up either.
“The shackles will be off for Norwich. But Leeds are under a lot of pressure and I don’t know if they can handle it. Patrick Bamford is back, and his return could give Leeds and their fans the boost they need.
“A draw wouldn’t be great for Leeds, but it’s a likely result this weekend.”
Marsch will know that he needs to change things tomorrow.
There are some of those that are guaranteed too, with Junior Firpo being stretchered off with injury against Villa.
Stuart Dallas is going to start at left-back, meaning that Luke Ayling will likely start on the right with a traditional pairing centrally, and finally.
Bamford needs to start too, we have no time to ease him back in and he didn’t exactly look to be struggling after coming off the bench.
This is the perfect game for him to announce himself back in the Premier League, and wow, do Leeds need him now.
Should he come back firing from the start tomorrow, everyone will believe we can survive, do the business, Bamford.
