Leeds United star Robin Koch’s injury has been described as “rebellious” by Marcelo Bielsa ahead of the Whites’ game against Watford.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the Argentine couldn’t provide a timescale for the German international’s return, which is concerning [Phil Hay].
The 25-year-old played the season’s opening game but hasn’t featured since, and it is unclear when he will next play for the first team [Leeds Live].
He said: “Koch has a problem with his pubis, which is a very rebellious injury where there’s no prognostic of when he will be recovered because it can last a short period of time or a long period of time, so that’s subject to his evolution.”
Not good news for Leeds.
Since he arrived at Elland Road, the German has had quite a few injury problems, and the worrying thing about this one is that there is no timescale.
Hopefully, he can return to action soon, but for now, it doesn’t look good for the 25-year-old.
Last season, he missed a huge chunk of the season through injury, and it is looking like it could very well be the same thing in this campaign, which would be a shame.
The good news for the Whites is that Diego Llorente is back, but we do feel sorry for the German’s situation at the moment.
Hopefully, Bielsa can provide a more positive update after the international break, but this has been a frustrating start to the season for Koch.
He could become a key player in this Leeds defence, but he has been very unlucky with injuries so far.
In other Leeds United news, Kalvin Phillips’ agent has issued a claim on the player’s future.
