Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has posted a photo of himself and Paraag Marathe, President of 49ers Enterprises.
Speculation over a future takeover is gathering speed at the moment thanks to the San Francisco 49ers’ moves to acquire a greater hold of shares at Elland Road.
Now owning 44% of the club’s shares, the NFL franchise are edging closer to a majority, and it’s clear that they could likely pursue that in the coming months.
Andrea Radrizzani still has plans for this club, but he’s willing to share that discussion with 49ers President, Paraag Marathe, who is on the Leeds board too.
The Italian took to Twitter to show his growing partnership:
It’s yet to be seen when the 49ers will move to take over from Radrizzani, but you’d imagine it might not take too long.
They’re in a strong position right now and the club looks like it’s going in the right direction, despite our start to this season.
Marathe will want to have a say in everything that’s going on at the moment because, eventually he could be the man in charge.
It is interesting to see how quickly this has gathered momentum since promotion.
